We Believe the Bible

Everything we believe is based on the Bible. The Scripture, in whole, is composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, which was given directly from God to us through many different chosen authors.

We believe that there is one living, true, holy God, eternally existent in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus was miraculously conceived, born of a virgin, and sinless in life. Christ was fully man and fully God, walked our earth, lived a life of obedience, suffered at the hands of men, and died on the cross. He fully paid the price for the sins of all, was bodily resurrected after three days and enthroned at God’s right hand as our Intercessor.

Reach People For Jesus

This is made possible as we fulfill the great commandment, to love God and to love others.  This saving grace through Jesus Christ is for everyone.

Matthew 22:37  Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[e] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

The Great Commission sends us out to demonstrate this love and to expose others to Jesus.

Mark 16: 15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

Make Disciples

A disciple is simply this, a committed follower of Jesus.  It doesn’t mean we are perfect, in fact we are most certainly not.  It means that we pursue to know Him more and follow Him more closely each day through the study of His Word and support of those walking with us.

Matthew 28: 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,[b] baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you

We Are Known By What We Are For, Not What We Are Against.

We are for the Bible, believing it to be the true, flawless, Word of God.  We will fight for the Biblical truths given to us, while allowing the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of men. We identify sin as sin, but trust God, through the Holy Spirit, to convict and guide believers on wisdom issues.  Our job is to pursue a life of Holiness by following the standards given to us in the Bible.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work

It’s All About Jesus

Through Jesus Christ we are saved, and no other way is available.  All of scripture points to Jesus.  Everything we do as a church is about reaching people for Jesus and learning to follow Him.

John 14:Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me

We Put Grace First.

We are all saved by grace, which is free from God.  As we have received this grace, we will offer it forward to those around us.  No one is perfect, we are all sinners saved by grace.

Romans 3:22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

It’s Not About Me.

We are committed to keep individual agendas, selfish ambition, and personal desires out of the way of the mission we are called to.  We are here to serve Jesus and each other, putting our self aside. As we are able to step out of our selfishness, we are then able to truly experience the joy and fulfillment of being part of a church family.

Philippians 2:2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. 3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

All Hands-On Deck.

We are all created and called to be part of the mission of the church.  Each person possesses God given talents and gifts.  Everyone is needed and plays a huge part in reaching people for Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:27 All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.

We Get Dirty

One of the hardest jobs on earth is that of a farmer.  Working sun up to sun down, it is challenging, difficult work.  It is also dirty.  You can’t work in the field and not get dirty. We are all called to be part of the labor of the harvest, which means we should all be dirty.

Matthew 9:37  He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
